We went out to get amongst the Olympic feel of town, and headed into Hyde Park BT Zone, which is where they have set up big screens for you to go watch live olympic events.  To get into the grounds is like going through airport security they pat you down and search your bags and then to top it off give you a scan with one of those metal detector stick things.

Gareth and Lindsay (the couple we met in Vietnam and had similar ping pong experience with) are currently staying in London so we caught up with them in the park too, and then headed off to Tower bridge to see the olympic rings, YAY touristyness again.  Elliot hates it when I wear my camera around my neck, he hates me looking like a tourist!

So we head into town to check out some sights, and stumble across the olde buckingham palace, boom and also manage to catch part of the changing of the guard, sooo cool!

I managed to get a sweet perch on the edge of the pavement to see the band and then them followed by the guards. They must have been swetting like beasts it was soo freaking hot that a guy watching across the road fainted during the march!

Street performers, can you figure out
how they are doing this?

While we were watching the street performers along the river side, I felt a tugging at my bag, this po po lady was like " yes, please wear your bag around your front", theres a risk of the olde pick pocketers.

Trafalga Square and the National Gallery, its pretty neat around the whole of town so many beautiful buildings.

 

It took me ages to get a photo of the lion without some dam person jumping up on front of it, they are big kitties!
